Creamy Seafood Soup

Ingredients:

  • Butter and oil
  • Chopped onion
  • Minced garlic
  • Peeled shrimp (tail shell left on)
  • Cleaned clams
  • Squid, sliced
  • Crab, halved
  • Fish pieces
  • Celery
  • Heavy cream or cooking cream
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • Mastic gum, cardamom, and bay leaf
  • Vegetable bouillon cube

Instructions:

  1. In a deep pot, sauté the onion and garlic with butter and oil, adding the mastic gum.
  2. Add the clams and crab, stirring well.
  3. Add the shrimp, squid, and fish pieces, stirring until they change color.
  4. Add 1 liter of water, or enough to cover all ingredients.
  5. Once it boils, add chopped celery, salt, black or white pepper, cardamom, and bay leaf.
  6. When all ingredients are fully cooked, add half a cup of heavy cream and a pinch of nutmeg. Serve hot.
