Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the Onions:
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until browned. - Add Garlic and Ginger:
Stir in the garlic and ginger paste, cooking for about 1 minute. - Cook the Chicken:
Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned. - Add Spices:
Stir in the spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, and garam masala) and cook for another minute. - Add Tomatoes:
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until the mixture thickens. - Season and Add Butter:
Season with salt to taste and stir in the butter until it melts. - Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with basmati rice or naan bread.
