Mushroom Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • 1 cup broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped
  • ½ cup cooking cream
  • ½ cup cooked chicken breast, diced

Instructions:

  1. In a medium-sized pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
  2. Add the washed mushrooms (if using canned mushrooms, rinse them well), and stir with the onion for about a minute.
  3. Gradually sprinkle in the flour and stir with a wooden spoon until the mushrooms and flour are well combined.
  4. Slowly add the broth while continuing to stir, then season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Pour in the milk and stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and begins to simmer.
  6. Add the cooking cream and continue stirring, letting the soup simmer for about 10 minutes, until it reaches a medium consistency.
  7. Finally, add the diced cooked chicken, stir it in, and let the soup heat through for another minute.
  8. Serve the mushroom soup hot, and enjoy!
