Shawarma Beef Pizza
- Pizza Dough Ingredients:
- Flour: 3 ½ cups
- Powdered milk: 4 tablespoons
- Oil: 1 small cup
- Baking soda: 1 tablespoon
- Baking powder: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Warm water: 1 cup (for kneading)
- Topping Ingredients:
- Beef: ½ kg (thinly sliced)
- Onion: 2 pieces
- Bell peppers: 3 pieces (colored)
- Black pepper: 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons
- Cheddar cheese: 1 cup (shredded)
- Nutmeg: a pinch
- Olives: as desired (pitted)
- Salt: as desired
Preparation Method:
- For the pizza dough: Sift the flour into a large bowl, then add powdered milk, baking powder, baking soda, oil, and gradually add warm water while kneading.
- Let the dough rest for about an hour or until it doubles in size.
- For the filling: In a pan, heat oil, then add the beef slices and season with black pepper, garlic powder, salt, and a pinch of nutmeg. Cook until done.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the beef, stirring until the vegetables soften. Remove from heat.
- Prepare a baking tray, roll out the pizza dough, and spread the sauce over it. Top with the shawarma beef mixture.
- Add some olive rings and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 15–20 minutes.
- Remove the shawarma beef pizza from the oven, cut into slices, and serve hot
